Sunshine is good for the soul and we're enjoying a break in the cold as Spring starts in Ballarat. My sister is about to have a baby and I'm excited to become an aunty. I'm adding more and more yellow to my wardobe, especially with encouragement from a few of my blogger friends, like Mona at Curls and Cakes. Yellow is an under-appreciated colour.
Yellow goes well with red (although I don't wear only those 2 colours or I'd look like fast food store employee), it matches navy or blue, and it makes black and white bold. I can't wear lemon, so I tend to end up with bold yellows in my closet.
I'm enjoying a new hair colour, although I'm having a bad hair day in these picks (yay for scarves). As I write this, I'm in between fun activities in Perth. I've come to visit Perth just for the Telstra Perth Fashion Festival, but I also got to go and seem some community theatre which was excellent.
These photos aren't from Perth, however. These were taken a week ago in Ballarat when I spotted a really pretty blossom tree that was heavy with flowers and dropping petals like snow. It's in a spot by a busy intersection where people don't really walk, hanging out all lonely. The top is from the new Modcloth line of clothes. Modcloth have stocked many awesome brands for ages, but now they complement that with a range of clothes designed and made by Modcloth as well. It makes me think of 60s mod and Orla Kiely. I love it.
